Our Philosophy

  • We believe that most people function best in an intimate, family-like setting with perhaps four to six other people

  • We believe in the concept and techniques of Validation Therapy.  With validation, or residents are encouraged to feel good about themselves.  Memory loss is never challenged by saying they are incorrect.  everyone is made to feel safe and comfortable.  We respect each persons dignity and their individuality.

  • We believe everyone needs to make choices and need to know they are worthwhile and needed.  With validation techniques our residents are encouraged to be involved in making appropriate choices about their own lives and care.

  • We believe we must try to have outings at least once a week for whenever possible, it is important for our residents to do the things they're used to. Like shopping at the mall, rides in the country, grocery shopping...making choices.  Activities and schedules can be individually designed for a resident's special needs and preferences.

  • We encourage our residents to have a positive outlook, to wake each morning with staff trained in Good Morning techniques helping everyone look forward to the new day.
